Western/Pacific LINCS

Western/Pacific LINCS

The National Institute for Literacy created the Literacy Information and Communication System (LINCS) so that literacy practitioners and administrators could share information with each other and stay up to date on developments in the field of adult and family literacy. Literacyworks has coordinated the LINCS Western/Pacific Regional Technology Center, which comprises 12 states and islands/island groups in the Pacific Ocean, since its inception in 1995.

Through Western/Pacific LINCS, Literacyworks has created scores of websites for programs in its region, including comprehensive statewide resources for California, Hawaii, Nevada, Arizona, and Colorado. Literacyworks has also been instrumental in securing additional resources and funding for the entire LINCS network.
