If you’d like to help put books into the hands and homes of young children, please consider making a tax deductible donation to CA Reach Out and Read. For as little as $10 a year, a child in California can receive all the benefits of this program as well as two, brand new gift books. With more children in the state of California than any other state, we need your help to ensure that all California’s children can grow up with books and a love of reading.

How Can You Help?
- Read and look at books with children in clinic waiting rooms
- Show parents how to engage their young childrenwith books
- Inspire an excitement for books and reading
Requirements
- In most clinics, volunteers must be at least 18 years of age. Some clinics will accept volunteers 16 year of age and older.
- Must have a health screening, usually provided by the clinic
- Must attend a training orientation
- Commitments are usually for 2 hours a week for a 6 month minimum
- Spanish-bilingual helpful but not required!
